Moon Princess Gameplay and Bonus Features
The game is played on a 5x5 board, and you form a winning combination by getting three symbols in a row, either horizontally or vertically. When you do, the winning symbols will disappear and will not be replaced by any new ones, which makes it possible to clear the board after getting enough consecutive wins that remove symbols from the board. All symbols except for Wild disappear, and Wilds are sticky. Every consecutive win on the same spin fills the meter, which will trigger Princess Trinity free round. Clearing the board triggers the fre spins game.
The free spins game has three options, and the only difference between them is variance as the lower number of spins means an increased potential to win big but variance is higher too. You'll choose Love (4 spins), Star (5 spins) or Storm (8 spins), and the respective Girl Power will be active throughout the free spins game whenever you have a non-winning spin. You can win additional free spins, up to 20, and there's a win multiplier that can grow to x20 as well!
In base game, the three Girl Power features are triggered randomly on any non-winning spin. Love will transform one set of symbols into another symbol, Star will put up to 2 Wilds on your board, and Storm will destroy two sets of any symbol. The Princess Trinity feature, triggered when you fully charge the meter, will mean that Princesses will take turns performing their superpower.
With all these features, a single spin can go on for a while, though for any significant win you'll have to either get a good win multiplier or get five-of-a-kind wins, as these are the only ones in this game that can pay better than getting your stake back. Prizes are 2x or 3x your bet in case of four low-win symbols, and 10x for the three Princesses, or 5x if you combine any three Princesses in a winning combination. Wild can pay up to 50x your bet. This means that one one hand the game lets you win numerous times with small wins such as 0.30x your bet, and on the other hand there's potential to get a really nice win. Theoretical return to player (RTP) is 96.50% and variance is medium. Winning spins are somewhat rare, but when things get going, there's always a chance of things aligning perfectly to clear the board and get you to that free spins game. It happens often enough, so the game is enjoyable to play and we could say it has medium variance.
